Research Highlights

Nonlinearity-enabled sound field control

We leveraged the local nonlinearity to enable the deep subwavelength control of acoustic waves. We introduced an approach for creating remote audio spots, dubbed audible enclaves, by harnessing the local nonlinear interaction of two self-bending ultrasonic beams with distinct spectra.

Directional audio beam generated by parametric array loudspeakers (PALs)

We conducted a series of research on the physical properties of PALs and the advanced beamforming techniques based on multi-channel PALs.
